We are a part of USPS District 16/ Washington, Alaska & Idaho Deception Pass Sail & Power Squadron is a part of USPS District 16, which consists of fifteen local squadrons throughout Washington, Alaska and Idaho. The district leadership provides guidance and coordination among the squadrons.
The Deception Pass squadron began as a branch of the Bellingham Sail & Power Squadron, which was incorporated in 1959, and received its own squadron charter in 1976. Originally called the Deception Pass Power Squadron, the name was changed in 1976 to include “Sail.” Our geographic area includes Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands.
